Report Cards – Available Today at 2:45 PM
Student report cards are available online only in the PowerSchool Parent Access Portal. In order to access your child’s report card in PowerSchool, please follow THESE DIRECTIONS.
If you haven’t already, please schedule a conference with your child’s teacher. It’s so important to hear about your child’s progress as well as ask questions and share important information about your child with his/her teacher. Conferences will be virtual.
The Scholastic Virtual Book Fair is coming on Monday!!
This year's exciting RBS fundraiser will include a 360° interactive Virtual Book Fair for families to easily explore and shop together for the next great family read, picture books, non-fiction texts and chapter books. On Monday, April 12, RBS social media will blast out the custom link for Riddle Brook School's Virtual Fair. Throughout next week, Miss Ferns will share features of the Virtual Fair during all library classes. The Fair will run April 12-25 and will be online only. Please complete all shopping via the RBS link provided Monday to assure proceeds from your purchases contribute to our school fundraiser.

As we move into the last stretch of the school year, we are starting to think about placement for 2021/2022. Please read THIS LETTER, which outlines the process.
Summer Skills Math Books
Can you believe that it is time to start thinking about summer? If you would like to order a Summer Skills Math Sharpener workbook for your child, please use this link. You will be able to order the book online and it will be shipped right to your house.
The purpose of these workbooks is to review the math skills taught during the school year. It is suggested that you order a workbook that is at the same grade level that your child is in NOW.
Enrichment Riddle of the Week
Ms. Babine will post a new riddle each Friday (below) and reveal the answer the following Thursday. Families are encouraged to think together and come up with as many creative solutions as possible, and can submit responses through the Google Form link included on my website.

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION WITH SUPERINTENDENT FOURNIER: Hosted by the PTG, Superintendent Mike Fournier invites you for another “Community Conversation”. Ask your questions, share your opinions or just come listen! This is a small informal gathering to discuss Bedford School District happenings. Questions and comments are encouraged. Please RSVP to attend as seating is limited (adhering to social distancing guidelines) and masks are required.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS DISCUSSION SERIES: Thursday, May 6th @ 7pm: THE POSITIVE IMPACT OF COVID: How to Not Only Survive but Thrive!
This is the 3rd and final event in our series of Mental Health and Wellness discussions brought to you by PTG and the Bedford School District. It will be held at the BHS Theater (masks and social distancing required; seating is limited to 100) and will be aired live on BCTV (channel 23). This discussion will be led by Diane Vaccarello (Licensed Family Therapist), along with Lisa Jacques and Jess Bennett from BHS and moderated by Mike Fournier.
If you have questions on this topic, you can email them in advance to bedfordnhptg@gmail.com or submit them at the event. The panelists will do their best to address as many questions/concerns they can related to the discussion topic.

Psychological First Aid: Parents, Kids and Mental Health 3-18-21
YEAR IN REVIEW WITH OUR PRINCIPALS: You are invited to watch the Principals from all six schools as they review the 2020-21 school year on Friday, May 7th from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. broadcast live on BCTV. This is a great opportunity to hear about how our schools have embraced this unique year and get information on other important topics. Travel Protocols
As we approach Spring Vacation (April 26-30), please be advised of the DHHS travel guidance and NH COVID-19 Travel Guidance . Below are the highlights:
Domestic travel within the US no longer requires quarantine upon return to NH (this includes domestic travel to US territories)
Even though a person may not be required to quarantine after Domestic travel, the CDC does suggest that people seek testing 3-5 days after travel for asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection; testing is recommended and helpful to identify positive cases- testing by PCR is recommended. Your child may attend school while awaiting their PCR test for domestic travel if asymptomatic.
International travel continues to require a 10 day quarantine, or a 7 day quarantine with a PCR test on day 6-7 with a negative test result.
Travel on a cruise ship also requires a 10 day quarantine, or a 7 day quarantine with a PCR test on day 6-7 with a negative test result.
Everyone who chooses to travel, regardless of vaccination status or prior immunity, should wear a well fitted, multi-layer face mask, physically distance (i.e. maintain at least 6 feet from other people), avoid large groups and gatherings, frequently sanitize hands, and self monitor for symptoms.
If your child is symptomatic after travel your child should isolate and get tested, and parents inform the school nurse.

Friday, April 16th: My Happy Place Day (Your favorite place, vacation, book, show, style of clothes, activity…represent whatever makes you the happiest!)

Reminder from the Health Office
Allergy season is upon us with the warmer days we have been having. If your child has seasonal allergies, please get a note from your child’s physician for our nurse to keep on file for this school year. Please keep in mind that DHHS recommends COVID testing for any new or unexplained symptoms, and our school district follows that recommendation.

Guest Riders on Buses
A note from our Transportation Coordinator, Anne Wiggin… we are not allowing guest riders on the buses at this time. Since ridership numbers are increasing, we expect that mitigation measures and contact tracing will be more difficult if we were to include guests.
