RBS Principal’s Notes
September 27, 2019

Over the past couple of weeks, Mrs. Reese, Mr. Munsey and I have had lunch with all of our new students in grades 2, 3 & 4.  It’s been great getting to know our new kiddos!  Thank you to all of the children and families who have welcomed them and their families into our community!

IN THE NEWS:
Harvest Festival and Calendar Raffle
Our Annual Harvest Festival is coming up on Saturday, October 19th.  It's always a lot of fun!  Please see THIS FLYER for more information.  Also, information and ticket sheets for our annual calendar raffle were sent home this week.  HERE  is a copy of the calendar, and for a description of how the calendar works, please click HERE.  The grand prize ($500) will be drawn the day of the Harvest Festival (you don't have to be present to win), but the raffle will continue each week day through Friday, November 1st.

Tripod Survey Information
Between October 7th and October 25th, the district will administer the "Tripod Survey" to students in grades 2 - 12 (grade 1 will participate in the spring).  For the elementary schools, this includes "specials" (i.e. art, music, library and physical education) as well as enrichment.  This survey asks for the students' perspectives on our teaching practices.  All survey responses are anonymous and confidential.  The purpose is to use this feedback to help our professional staff continue to improve.  This year, parents were able to provide permission for their child to take the survey through InfoSnap registration.  If you opted your child out of the survey, please know that we will make other arrangements for him/her during the time that his/her class is taking the survey.

If you would like to view the surveys, please click on the links below.

2019/2020 RBS Student Directory
Directory forms were put in teachers’ boxes today, and will go home with students today or early next week.  If you have more than 1 child in our school, the form went home to the youngest sibling.  If you’d like your child’s information included in the RBS Directory, please send the form back to school by Friday, October 4th.  We only need one form per family.
