REMINDERS:
RBS Informational Video
As you may recall from the start of the year, Superintendent Fournier asked district teachers to address 4 topics on their blogs in order to better partner with parents/guardians in their child’s education.  The topics were:  Homework, Parents/Guardians Role in Their Child's Education, Communication, and Stress & Anxiety.  As a way to enhance that communication, five RBS teachers (1/grade level) and I created a video addressing each of those topics.  A big thank you to BCTV for creating the video for us.  When you have some time, I would highly recommend that you watch it.  You can find it HERE.  It is also on our RBS website under the School Information tab.

Save the Date – RBS Math & Literacy Night
Please mark your calendar for our annual Math/Literacy Night.  It will be held on Thursday, March 5th (snow date – March 12th).  Please click HERE for more information.

Intelligent Lives (Film)
Intelligent Lives is a film by New Hampshire’s own Dan Habib. The film stars three young American adults with Intellectual Disabilities who challenge the perception of intelligence as they find their way through high school, college and the workforce.  This film questions what it means to be intelligent and points to a future in which people of all abilities can participate in higher education, meaningful employment, and personal relationships.

Bedford School District, in partnership with Amherst School District, Merrimack School District, Manchester School District, the Bedford PTG, and St. Anselm’s Meelia Center, will be hosting a screening of the film on March 31, 2020 at 6:30 PM in the Bedford High School theatre.  Following the film, there will be a question and answer session led by the filmmaker, Dan Habib.

Spirit Days
I wanted to give parents a heads up about our upcoming Spirit Days.  In past years, we had Spirit Week the week before both February and April Vacations.  Last year, our Principal’s Advisory Group decided to do it a little differently by having a Spirit Day 1 day a week for 5 weeks.  This schedule was a hit last year, so we’re continuing with it this year.

Friday, Jan. 31 – Favorite Character (can be book, tv, movie, comic, etc.)
Friday, Feb. 7 – Retro Day (Dress from your favorite decade.)
Friday, Feb. 14 – Valentine’s Day
Friday, Feb. 21 – RBS Spirit Day
