IN THE NEWS:

Harvest Festival and Calendar Raffle

Our Annual Harvest Festival is coming up on Saturday, October 16th.  It's always a lot of fun!  Please see THIS FLYER for more information.  Also, information and ticket sheets for our annual calendar raffle were sent home this week.  HERE is a copy of the calendar, and for a description of how the calendar works, please click HERE.  The grand prize ($500) will be drawn the day of the Harvest Festival (you don't have to be present to win), but the raffle will continue each week day through Friday, October 29th.

*(NOTE: one milk comes with a lunch, but is NOT FREE if the student is getting two (2) milks with lunch OR simply buying a drink to go with their lunch from home.)


IF a student does not have enough money on their account, they will not be allowed to purchase any of the a la carte items listed above.

Third Grade Book Club

Third Grade Book Club begins Tuesday, October 19, 2021. We will be reading Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren.  Please have your child bring a nut free lunch.  It may be from the cafeteria.  If your child would like to participate in book club, please email Miss Ferns by Friday, October 15, 2021. fernsh@sau25.net

We couldn’t do it without your continued support. Please consider making a donation to the PTG either via the PayPal link HERE or send in a check payable to Bedford PTG in the support envelopes that have been sent home (K-8) or an envelope labeled with your name and email address (turn into your child’s school or mail to PO Box 10077 Bedford, NH). 100% of your donation through the Support Drive goes directly to the schools and students of Bedford.


LOOKING TO VOLUNTEER: Please complete a Volunteer Google Form for each school you have a child attending. To access the form click HERE or you can find them on the PTG website www.bedfordptg.org under PTG Forms. You need to fill this form out in order to hear about volunteer opportunities at the schools or district wide.


PTG COMMUNITY EVENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: 

Color Blast Fun Run Committee: Get in on the colorful fun and be part of planning this amazing community event!! Color Blast is looking for anyone that might be interested in being part of the planning committee. The committee meets monthly starting in October and more frequently closer to the event which is scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd.

NEW FAMILY WELCOME: If you recently moved to Bedford or are sending your first child to a Bedford School, you're welcome to attend Bedford School District's New Family Welcome hosted by the Bedford PTG on Wed., September 29th, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Bedford Town Library.

Representatives from each school will be available to answer questions, provide school and town information, share opportunities on how you can be involved and welcome you into our community.

Please RSVP to keldamyork@gmail.com and specify if you will be attending the morning or evening session.

Our popular  GIFTS, WRAP, AND MORE  fundraiser is just around the corner. Brochures will be coming home with elementary students at the beginning of October. Online ordering only this year. 40% of sales goes back to our schools and orders ship directly to home! Sale runs from October 8-22.

Book Fair

Thank you to all our RBS families for attending the Scholastic Book Fair! Because of your incredible support, we’ve earned over $3,000 for books and other needs for the kids of RBS.  Congratulations to our book basket raffle winner, Niccolo Correnti!  We’ll be back in April for our district wide Scholastic Book Fair for grades K-6. Happy reading!

Ski , Skate and More Sale Committee: The Ski, Skate and More Sale is scheduled for Saturday, November 20. The planning committee will start meeting next week.

Masks on Buses

The bus company has asked us to remind parents that students need to wear a mask while on the bus.  While there are extra masks on the buses for students who forget them, they would be appreciative if parents would send their child(ren) with a mask.
