RBS Principal’s
Notes
December 20,
2019
We had a great
time this afternoon at our annual Holiday All School Meeting! Staff members dressed in festive garb and led
a sing-a-long with the students! We also
surprised the staff and students with a special rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas!
From the staff of
Riddle Brook School, we would like to wish all of our families a very Merry
Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year! It’s always a bittersweet
time when the holidays come to a close for the year, but it’s also nice to
enjoy some relaxing time with family and friends. Have a wonderful week,
and we will see you in the New Year (Thursday, January 2nd)!
IN THE NEWS:
Mrs. Kenny (Guidance Counselor)
Sadly, Mrs. Kenny’s last day at RBS was today. She and her family are moving to California in
the new year. Please join me in wishing
all of them well! For the remainder of the
school year, Mrs. Reese will be working at full time at RBS. Therefore, if you need to contact a guidance
counselor, please contact Mrs. Reese.
Hour of Code
Over the past two
weeks, Mrs. Rodd and our classroom teachers facilitated Hour of Code lessons with our K-4 students. These computer-coding lessons were engaging,
stimulating and fun for students and staff!
Please watch our video to see the students learning about robotics,
computer science, problem-solving, teamwork and having lots of fun!
4th

This week, 4th graders
participated in the Geography Bee sponsored by National Geographic. Of
the classroom participants, 10 students qualified as finalists for the School
