Toys for Tots at RBS
Ms. Pennington and the RBS Music Department will kick off our annual TOYS FOR TOTS collection starting next week. TOYS FOR TOTS is a well-known charity run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. We will collect toys between the dates of Monday, November 15th and Friday, December 10th. RBS students can deposit new, unwrapped toys in any of our 4 boxes, which are located outside of our music room and in the office hallway. Through our generosity, the holidays will be filled with happiness for children who need our help!
Wheelchair Accessible Parking Spot
It was brought to my attention that people who don’t require a wheelchair are parking in the wheelchair accessible spots in our visitor parking. As a result, our students/families who need to use these particular spaces are not able to use them. Please pay careful attention to the signage and make sure you’re using the appropriate space.

SELL Your Winter Gear and Clothing: Turn your outgrown or gently used winter gear and apparel into some cash while also supporting Bedford schools. Visit the PTG website for consignment information and links to register your items. You can drop off your pre-tagged items at the BHS Cafeteria on Friday, November 19th, between 5-8PM. Please note: if you need to print your tags on site at BHS during equipment drop off there will be a $1.00 charge per tag.
VOLUNTEER: Many volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Volunteers can pre-shop Saturday morning (wristband required) before the doors open to the public. This is a great perk to volunteering! Click HERE to get involved.
***Masks are strongly recommended for this event.***
AMAZON SMILE: Did you know that everytime you make a purchase on Amazon you can support the PTG? Visit AmazonSmile and select “Bedford NH PTG” as the organization you wish to support or simply go to the Bedford PTG’s unique link HERE . We recommend bookmarking this unique link as only purchases made at smile.amazon.com are eligible for donations. Now everytime you shop at Amazon a percentage of your purchase price is donated to the Bedford PTG!
Reminders:
Report Cards
In order to access your child’s report card in PowerSchool, please follow THESE DIRECTIONS. (*For Quarter 1, report cards are available for grades 2-4).
If you haven’t already, please schedule a conference with your child’s teacher. It’s so important to hear about your child’s progress as well as ask questions and share important information about your child with his/her teacher.
Morning Drop Off
Over the last couple of weeks, there has been quite a large back up in our drop off line each morning very close to 8:00 AM. Please remember that if a student enters the classroom after 8:00 AM, they will be marked tardy. *This is not the case for bus drop off. Parent drop off typically grows during the winter months, so my best advice would be to arrive at school on the earlier side. Drop off begins at 7:30 AM.
Food Drive – October 18 – November 19
This year more than ever, the Bedford Community Food Pantry is a valuable resource for those in our community who are facing hunger or food insecurity. The Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 organization that is a well-coordinated effort between 5 area churches, local organizations, including the Bedford Lion's Club and the Boy Scouts, and individuals and families in Bedford.
They are always in need of THESE FOOD ITEMS, but any nonperishable food items are welcomed. At RBS, we would like to make a concerted effort to collect these items for our food drive. If you are able to make a donation, I know the Food Pantry would GREATLY appreciate it! We will donate the food items just in time for Thanksgiving.
*Monetary donations are also welcomed in order to purchase food from the NH Food Bank (checks made out to Bedford Community Food Pantry).
