April 19, 2019

RBS Principal’s Notes
April 19, 2019

We had a wonderful all school concert this morning provided by the always-entertaining Spain Brothers!  The students loved singing some favorite songs as well as hearing some new ones.  It’s always fun to kick off our April Vacation with this concert!

I hope everyone has a relaxing and fun-filled vacation!  Happy Easter and Passover!

IN THE NEWS:
4th Grade Play
I hope many of you were able to attend our annual Fourth Grade Play Tuesday night.  This year’s play was Goin’ Buggy!  As always, the students were SPECTACULAR!  A big thank you goes out to our teachers, Mrs. Munz, Mrs. Duhaime, Miss Ferns and Mrs. Read for pulling off such a wonderful event!

Yearbook Supplement—ACTION ITEM
Each year we offer a supplement to our yearbook, which includes spring activities, such as Field Day.  The yearbook supplier has offered to mail them home to each family who purchased a yearbook.  Therefore, we would need to provide the company, School Annual, with families mailing addresses in order for them to mail home the supplement after school is out.  If you DO NOT want the supplement mailed home by School Annual, please let me know by Friday, May 10th.

Invitation for Past Members of RHYTHMICS and RBS SINGERS!
We hope to connect with former Riddle Brook School chorus members.  We have plans to celebrate 20 years of music-making at RBS during the spring concert, to be presented in the Bedford High School Theater on Wednesday, May 15, at 6:30 PM.

At this Spring Concert, we will share a few reunion songs including “We Are The People Of The Twenty-First Century” (from the first concert, in October, 1999.) Also planned: “Guacamole” and “Born To Make Music,” which have been sung every year by our 3rd grade chorus, as well as “Fireflies” and “One, From A Chorus Line.” These last 2 songs have been the final set of Riddle Brook School concerts for the last 9 years. We look forward to seeing many alumni and we will invite them to sing along.

The celebration begins with alumni sign-in starting at 5:45. Past chorus member will receive a special program booklet, then are invited to attend a reunion gathering in the music room. The concert begins at 6:30. Please pass this to anyone you know who is a Riddle Brook School chorus alumnus. Mrs. Munz can be reached at this email:

Thank You from the Book Fair Committee
We would like to thank the wonderful families and staff members at RBS who made our annual Spring book fair Dino-Mite! We are beyond amazed that as a school, Riddle Brook collected over $2,300 in our All For Books coin fundraiser. These funds were not only used to purchase books for classrooms at RBS, but were also matched by Scholastic, and books were donated to schools in need.
We would also like to thank our team of amazing parent volunteers! Your help in setting up, classroom visits, donating to our afternoon events, and breaking it all down…we simply cannot thank you enough for your time and efforts.  Lastly, we couldn’t do this without the tremendous support from the staff at RBS.  We are so lucky to have such a wonderful team of people helping us every step of the way.

Fondly,
Shailagh Klicker, Anne Lewis, Heather Noonan and Jen Sufat
