NH State House - Bicentennial Poster Contest
(South-Central Region)
Many of our students
entered a poster contest put on by the NH State House for its
bicentennial. In the elementary
division, there were 76 posters submitted from 7 different schools. I am very proud to say that RBS students had
the 1st and 2nd place winners! Congratulations to Anna Johnson (1st
Place) and Reagan Pepin (2nd place) for their winning
submissions! They are now entered into the
statewide contest, and have been asked to
join Governor Sununu, the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and
Chief Justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court on June 7th in the
Governor’s and Council’s Chamber at the NH State House in Concord.

Executive
Functioning and Hygiene Messages
Executive
Functioning
Good Bosses
are mindful. They are able to pay attention by focusing on their
breathing and five senses, as well as their thoughts and feelings. As the
school year is ending, remember to use your Six Sides of Breathing and Belly
Breaths to stay calm and focused.
Hygiene
Did you know
that your skin plays an important role in helping the body work properly?
Your skin is like your body’s “armor.” It protects you in many ways. However, your skin can’t do its job if it’s
dirty. Keeping your skin clean will keep you healthy. Using a mild
soap and warm water will wash away unwanted dirt, oils and germs from our skin
so it can do its best job to keep us healthy.

Some parents have inquired as to whether or not we treat our playground
for ticks. I want to make sure that
parents know that we have not/do not treat our playgrounds. I know this is predicted to be a heavy year
for ticks, so if you are concerned, I wanted to refer you to some PREVENTION INFORMATION
(suggestions listed on page 2 under Can
Lyme Disease Be Prevented?).
