Executive Functioning and Mindfulness Messages
Executive Functioning
Good Bosses need to be ORGANIZED.  Organizing is the ability to create and use systems to keep track of materials and information.  What systems do you use to keep yourself organized?  Do you have a homework folder?  Does your family keep track of special days with a calendar?  Over the next few weeks you will hear more about strategies and systems to help you stay organized.
Here is another Mindful breathing exercise:  The Deep-Dive Breath
Sit quietly in your chair.  Inhale for four counts, hold for four, and exhale slowly for four counts. Find the rhythm of the exercise.  Let’s practice.  Inhale 1, 2, 3, 4.  Hold 1, 2, 3, 4.  Exhale 1, 2, 3, 4.  Now try it yourself.

Bedford Food Pantry – Items Needed for Children
Food Insecurity is a growing concern across the nation and right here in our own backyard.  Nearly 350 adults and children in Bedford qualify for food stamps and more than 167 families in Bedford meet the income standards for the government’s free school lunch program.

If you are able to donate these items (these are ongoing donations), please bring them by the Bedford Food Pantry at the Bedford Presbyterian Church, 4 Church Road, Bedford, NH.

Parents/guardians, please contact the school guidance counselor or school nurse if you would like your child to participate in this program.

Book Fair
The RBS Book Fair team will be recruiting volunteers for setup and sales from March 24-April 7.   Signups will be available after February break.

The committee is also searching for a new decorating lead for next year.   The theme is provided by Scholastic for each fair as well as decorating supplies and suggestions, clip art, etc.   We are looking for someone with a little creativity to pull the room together!  Please contact Lauren Wilensky with questions or interest.
